Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrical Construction Manager to lead and manage a skilled team of electricians and apprentices. In this critical role, you will provide technical guidance and support, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for managing stock/inventory, ensuring the team has the necessary materials and equipment, and handling all aspects of people management to foster a productive and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electricians and apprentices, ensuring a high level of performance, safety, and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to the team on-site.
• Coordinate work schedules, manage tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure ongoing training and professional development opportunities for the team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and morale.
  

• Review electrical designs and specifications to ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues on the job site.
• Provide technical advice and guidance on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

• Manage the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for electrical projects.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring the timely ordering and delivery of materials.
• Implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilisation.

• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment for the team.
• Enforce proper safety practices and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) usage at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Electrical License or certification (required).
• Valid Drivers License (required)
• Proven experience managing a team of electricians or similar role in the electrical industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with inventory and stock control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electric schematics, technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with safety practices, tools, and equipment used in the electrical field.
