At Little Grasshoppers we are passionate about providing high quality early childhood care and education in all aspects of our service delivery. We are looking for a dedicated food guru to join our team of professionals to continue to provide the high level of service.

Working across 4 or 5 days between approximately 25 hours per week, you will be managing the commerical grade kitchen and a key stakeholder in the menu planning for the centre. Other duties include:

• Plan nutritionally and healthy balanced meals for children between the ages of 6 months to 6 years old.
• Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring additional dietary needs/requirements are met,
• Smooth operation of the kitchen inline with other relevant service programs i.e. sustainability, and
• Ensure compliance with Health Department requirements and National Regulations.

To secure an interview you will have:

• A can do attitude, with initiative and passion,
• Expereince maintaining an organised, tidy and clean working environment,
• Strong communication skills,
• Adaptability to flex between working autonomously and part of the team,
• Relevant work experience, (commerical cookery experience higly regarded)
• Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain),
• Food Handlers Certificate Health Food Sector,
• Food Supervisor Certificate Food Sector, (desirable)
• A current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate (or ability to obtain)
