Procurement Business Partner
Local Council – Western Suburbs
$42-45 p/hour + super | 38 hours p/week | Hybrid arrangement

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner to join our client, a local council in Melbourne’s western suburbs, on a temporary 3-month contract with the potential for extension. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support procurement operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency in tendering, RFQ, and contract management processes.

About the Role:

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal service units, contractors, and external stakeholders involved in the tendering and contract process.
• Participate in Tender Evaluation Panels (TEPs) and ensure all evaluations comply with the Procurement Policy and Tender Evaluation Manual.
• Provide oversight, advice, and support on the RFQ exemption process, ensuring adherence to the Procurement Policy and RFQ Manual.
• Assist in preparing monthly procurement reports for the Executive Management Team.

About You:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in end-to-end procurement, preferably within the Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Education, or Healthcare sectors.
• Strong understanding of tendering and contract management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to procurement best practices.
