We’re seeking compassionate and adaptable Support Workers to assist in providing personalised support to our lovely female Client in Nambour.
This role requires a flexible approach, as the individual’s environment and support needs can change daily, whether it’s adjusting to different sensory preferences, providing assistance with medication, or helping with daily tasks like online shopping and meal prep.
Understanding autism, ADHD, and mental health is essential, as is the ability to manage sensory sensitivities and offer support during challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will have experience with neurodiverse individuals and be comfortable supporting our Client in her role as mother who is raising a young child with similar needs, the Support Worker must be willing to accommodate and assist with tasks involving the child. You should also be comfortable working with pets in the home (a dog and cat). You should be patient, kind, and able to communicate clearly and effectively, as well as work collaboratively with other professionals.
An understanding of mobility issues, particularly lymphedema and lipedema, will be beneficial. Additionally, experience using tools like Google Drive and communication apps will help you thrive in this role.

Weekly -
Monday 1500-1800
Tuesday 0600-0900
Wednesday 0600-0900
Fortnightly -
Tuesday 1500-1800

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
To be successful you must:
- Resonate with the role description above
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
