⚙️ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on aged care and retirement living facilities. This role includes managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) programs to ensure the effective planning, renovation, and restructuring of aged care and retirement properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams, managing project resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Newcastle, Maitland, Singleton, Williamstown Region, NSW
  • Reporting to Director and Senior Project Manager based in Sydney
  • Direct Reports Site Supervisor, trades and sub-contractors onsite
🔧KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and direct construction projects from initiation to completion, with a primary focus on aged care and retirement living refurbishments.
• Manage CAPEX programs to ensure efficient allocation of resources and successful project outcomes.
• Review project scope, schedule deliverables, and estimate costs.
• Manage all onsite and offsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying and securing future work opportunities.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring effective programme management.
• Manage project schedules, financials, risks, and work health and safety (WHS) on-site.
• Ensure adherence to safety compliance, client service level agreements (SLAs), and operational best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in project delivery.

✅REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in construction project management
  • Experience with aged care and retirement living refurbishments preffered
  • Experience managing CAPEX programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within set timelines and budgets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in preparing and managing quotes.
  • Proficiency in using MS Projects, Pronto, Procore, Rapid Induct, Cubit, Sharepoint software for job management.
  • Construction White Card
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid working rights
  • Ability to obtain police clearance
  • Covid vaccinated and willing to get flu vaccination annually
