About the role:

We are seeking a skilled HV Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis at Marvel Loch in Southern Cross (Barto Gold). In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical installations associated with fixed plant assets within a mining facility. You will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality mechanical services aligned with our safety standards and operational objectives.

Commute: BIBO from Malaga depot or DIDO opportunities for locals to Southern Cross and surroundings

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Complete all required safety documentation before commencing works including G2G, JHA/SWP/SWMS and permit to work.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures when working with electricity including wearing the protective PPE required for performing the works safely.
• Conduct machine pre starts and checks on the equipment and tools to ensure they are safe to use.
• Perform maintenance works on high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Install, maintain and repair high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems.
• Perform measurements and prepare technical documentation.
• Perform alternative tasks other than electrical works as directed by the responsible supervisor.

About you:

• Australia recognised Electrical trade qualification
• WA Electrical Licence
• High Voltage Switching certificate
• Australian Drivers Licence
• Current Working at Heights
• Current Confined Space Entry Training
• Australian High Risk Work License in Forklift and EWP (desirable)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity in mining/construction industry
• Experience as a High Voltage Electrician in a mining or heavy industrial environment
