Job Description
Newhaul is seeking a Fixed Plant Electrician to join our Port team on an even time 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off Roster, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and servicing fixed plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Roster and Remuneration:
- Hourly Rate: $60/hr
- Annualised Wage: $131,000 per year + Superannuation + Performance Bonus
- Roster: 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, procedures, and standards; ensure compliance with legislative requirements and workplace health and safety.
- Work Planning & Execution: Plan, prioritise, and execute tasks as per daily work orders, including corrective maintenance and capital works projects.
- Equipment Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and testing on fixed plant and associated electrical equipment, including 12V and 24VDC systems and CCTV apparatus.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, complete log book entries, provide progress updates, and report incidents in a timely manner.
- Supervision & Training: Oversee apprentices, including log book sign-offs, and foster knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Shutdowns & Coordination: Assist with shutdown procedures, LOTO implementation, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Housekeeping & Site Maintenance: Ensure site cleanliness, maintain MCC areas, and uphold high housekeeping standards.
- Fire & Safety Compliance: Understand fire equipment requirements and ensure compliance.
- Autonomous & Teamwork Capabilities: Work independently while coordinating with other teams and departments when required.
This is a permanent opportunity, based in Geraldton, working 12 hour shifts on a 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off Roster
Qualifications
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Current Electrical Licence
- HRWL EWP / Forklift
