Farm Operations Manager.

Arapala Macadamia Farm is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Operations Manager. The salary will be more than competitive.

Arapala is an industry leader and is the jewel in the crown of the Dymocks Group. The farms are situated close to beaches on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW; and comprise four locations, carrying 70,000 macadamia trees.

The operations manager will work closely with the Farm CEO and focus on managing and participating in day-to-day operations. Experience in people management, leadership and organizational skills is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize and control employees to ensure operations are productive, safe and efficient.
• Lead by example in a safe, efficient, consultative and collaborative manner, particularly when operating machinery.
• Manage Workplace Health and Safety programs, including induction and risk/hazard assessments.
• Conduct monthly toolbox meetings, including our training modules on farming activities.
• Work with the CEO to conduct on-farm trials.
• Manage the Freshcare [food safety] program.
• Schedule workshop staff to maintain and repair equipment and machinery, ensuring accurate service records for all equipment.
• Research, organize and buy parts and consumables at best quality and price.
• Advise the CEO on better and more efficient ways to deploy people and machinery.

Remuneration: A competitive package up to $100,000 will be offered depending on experience.
