About the role

Dolce Fantasia Cakes is seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our award-winning bakery in Clarinda, VIC. As a fulltime Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing exceptional desserts and baked goods that capture the essence of our company's passion for high-quality, artisanal confections.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and bake an extensive range of pastries, cakes, and other desserts to the highest standards
• Ensure all baked goods meet our established quality, freshness, and presentation guidelines
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and bakery team to develop new and innovative recipes
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment in the pastry kitchen
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary ingredients and supplies
• have experience in buttercream decoration and novelty cakes.
• Comply with all food safety and health regulations

What we're looking for

• Formal training or apprenticeship in patisserie, baking, or a related culinary field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume bakery or restaurant
• Strong technical baking skills and a keen eye for detail and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
• Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing baked goods
• Adaptable to change and open to feedback
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
