Tailem Bend Roadhouse

Since 1956 we have been rapidly expanding as a company, providing customers with a large network of both retail and wholesale sites that are based predominantly within Northern Victoria, Southern NSW and into South East SA.

We have a vacancy for a Roadhouse Manager to lead our team at our iconic local site, Tailem Bend Roadhouse.

The Roadhouse Manager will be responsible for managing the site operations for the fuel and food side of the business, on a Monday - Friday. The site is a busy roadhouse, open 24/7 that includes a busy kitchen providing a full dine in menu as well as takeaway options, barista style coffee, fuel offer and further convenience items available via retail shop floor.

About the role:

• Staff management including recruiting staff, training, and supervision.
• Planning work schedules and assigning employees to specific duties/rosters.
• Managing and maintaining stock levels, new product lines, and promotions.
• Maintain a core menu offer that includes great value fresh meals.
• Basic problem solving of the day-to-day issue with staff, customers, suppliers and compliance obligations.
• Point of Sale cash management and reporting.
• Maintaining high level of presentation and hygiene standards for the site at all times.
• Some travel and/or temporary working from other locations may be required from time to time.

Competencies:

• Previous experience in a management role with demonstrated ability to recruit, instruct, supervise, and evaluate staff and maintain operations within budget.
• Experience and or qualifications to verify your ability to function within varied roles including Kitchen Operations.
• Understanding of Health and Safety obligations that ensure safety at the site is optimal at all times.
