Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Human Resource Coordinator to build up and run a HR function within our mobile crane hire business consisting of 900+ employees, from crane operators, dogmen to office staff. This is a critical within the company to ensure an effective HR strategy, policies, and practices are in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Forecast HR needs and develop workforce plans to meet future staffing requirements.
  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.
  • Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns and grievances.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Manage career development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure competitive salary structures and manage salary reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Track and analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous work experience in a HR function required, preferably in the construction or heavy machinery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce and handle multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional travel to various job sites and offices.
  • Reports to CEO
