Protex Water is looking to fill a newly created role in our Warehouse. We are looking for someone who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, supporting both production and logistics functions.

The role will include managing inventory, handling incoming and outgoing stock, coordinating freight, and maintaining the overall organisation of the warehouse and yard. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Who are we?

Protex Water is a local business specialising in the design, assembly and build of Water Treatment Plants and Irrigation Systems, based in Corio in a modern facility, we are experiencing significant growth and need someone to assist our Warehouse & Logistics Manager.

Our Warehouse ensures that our Production staff have all the parts they require at the right time, as well as ensuring our products are packed and presented for transport to the end customer.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and is happy to do a range of tasks from picking parts, collecting supplies from local suppliers, to arranging and dropping off freight at Melbourne Airport.

Key responsibilities include:

• Unload and inspect incoming goods, checking them off against purchase orders and receiving into our system.
• Ensure stock is stored in appropriate locations for easy access and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stocktaking and reconciliation.
• Process warranty returns and liaise with suppliers as needed.
• Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch to customers and project sites including booking freight.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and ETAs.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with OHS requirements.
• Organise the yard layout for optimal efficiency and safety.
• Assist with the clearance and disposal of old stock.
• Collect supplies and materials from suppliers when needed.
• Assist production teams by providing necessary components and materials.
• Maintain plant and equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures.

About you:

• LF licence.
• Heavy vehicle licence (desirable).
• LO licence (desirable).
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.

Protex Water will support further training and licences for the right candidate.

This role will be 38 hours per week plus some overtime and includes a monthly RDO.
