About us

Parkside Tennis and Vision Pickleball are seeking a dynamic, full-time Head Coach to join our vibrant team. We offer a range of tennis and pickleball coaching and competition programs, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated coach who has a passion the game.

With a combined total of over 400 players, our focus is on grassroots development and creating a strong foundation of players. We're searching for a coach who can not only inspire but also effectively manage our coaching programs and competitions and lead an enthusiastic assistant coaching team.

Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of tennis coaching experience with a strong playing standard is highly desired, demonstrating your ability to teach, motivate, and connect with players at various skill levels.

Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach (or higher) certification or its international equivalent is highly desired, ensuring a professional understanding of coaching methods and player development.

TA Membership (including Working with Children’s Check, Police Check, and current First Aid certification) are essential to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all players.

Excellent communication skills are a must, along with a genuine passion for developing players, from building technical skills to fostering a love for the game.

Key Responsibilities:

Group and Individual Coaching:

  • Lead Kids and Adult group coaching sessions.
  • Run Cardio Tennis programs.
  • Coordinate development squads for players.
  • Conduct private lessons for individuals or small groups.

Pickleball Coaching and Competitions:

  • Oversee Pickleball coaching sessions and competitions (training will be provided if the person lacks experience in Pickleball).
  • Collaborate with an experienced team in the Pickleball area.

School Programs:

  • Develop and deliver coaching programs for local schools.

Staff Management & Mentoring:

  • Mentor and manage Junior and Assistant coaching staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure coaching staff maintain high standards of professionalism and coaching quality.

Flexible Working Hours:

  • Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the programs and ensure full participation.

Total working hours: 38 hours per week.
