Contract Accountant (6-Month Contract – Public Sector)
📍 Location: Northern Suburbs, Perth
💰 Rate: $55 - $60 per hour + Super
📅 Start: April 2025
⏳ Duration: 6 months (until September)

PSG partnered with a great client are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a public sector organisation on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a business-focused finance professional with strong month-end experience and a background in business partnering with operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide business partnering support to operational teams, offering financial insights to aid decision-making.
• Manage the month-end process, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and process improvements.

Requirements:
✅ 5+ years of accounting experience (Public Sector experience preferred).
✅ CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent).
✅ Strong experience in month-end processes and financial reporting.
✅ Ability to liaise effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
✅ Immediately available and able to start in April 2025.
