We are an established construction company that has continued to grow over the years due to our high quality work and craftsmanship and we are now looking to take on another building designer / draftsperson to join our team. This is the opportunity to join a company where you will play an integral part and be able to have incredible flexibility while further develop your skills as you're able to see projects you help design go from concept to completion.

About the Role

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our senior architect to help design high end renovations and see our skilled carpenters and tradespeople bring them to life. Within this collaborative environment you will be able to help design and draft different aspects of the renovation projects we work on. Outstanding flexible work from home opportunities are provided along with the opportunity to visit clients homes and the building sites.

Role & Responsibility

• Meeting with clients to discuss design brief
• Completing measured drawings of existing home
• Develop concept plans alongside our senior architect
• Turn concept plans into working drawings by completing elevations and section views
• Produce 3D isometric views of the proposed development

Requirements

• Must be currently living in Brisbane
• Minimum 3 years experience with residential design / renovations
• Proficient in REVIT with the ability to use AutoCAD
• Previous experience working directly with clients
• Be able to work in team environment and individually
• 3D modelling software usage is advantageous
• Understanding of Australian building codes and Standards
