Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Project Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As a Project Officer, you will be part of a team that works with impacted stakeholders to design and deliver quality client outcomes and enhance their experience. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinate regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Prepare draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identify and assist with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Previous experience in a project management or any similar role
- Background in disability, social services, or public sector is highly desirable
- Experience supporting change, projects or continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience coordinating workshop and engagement/co-design activities and communications
- Competency in SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail
