Customer Service Officer
We are seeking a versatile professional with expertise in customer service, administration, project support, and product promotion. The ideal candidate is passionate about regional WA and open to short-term travel. Additionally, they should be comfortable working in an organisation with strong commercial governance and have experience in either government or a large corporate

This is a permanent full-time role.

Your new role will:

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers entering and calling the customer experience centre in Chinatown, Broome.
  • Support Customer and Community Manager with event set-up, attendance and pack-down.
  • Support Customer and Community Manager with customer communications relating to planned and unplanned power outages.
  • Prepare customer correspondence on billing, metering, faults and vegetation matters.
  • Provide high levels of customer service on a rostered basis through the Horizon Power Distributed Call Centre (DCC).
  • Manage customers' needs effectively which could include identification and referral or customers experiencing financial hardship, family and domestic violence, concessions and other relevant living pressures.
  • Support Customer and Community Manager with the management of customer debt on a weekly basis.
  • Conduct monthly tariff checks process, with approval from Customer and Community Manager on any proposed changes.
  • Reconcile all Credit Card/Travel Card expenses in compliance with timeframes and credit card policy.

You will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage conflict.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse data.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or event role.
  • Experience working in a utility or government customer services role.
  • Basic financial management skills.
  • An affinity for working in regional WA
  • WA driver's licence "C" or "C-A" class.
