About the Role

Sukhdev and Ahmad Lawyers is seeking an experienced Lawyer with at least 3 years of PAE to join our growing team in our Melbourne, CBD office. This is a full-time role where you will provide legal advice and support to a diverse client base across a range of practice areas with a primary focus on Family Law.

We are seeking a lawyer preferably with experience in a generalist law firm, or in one or more of the following areas:

• Family Law (preferred)
• Criminal Law
• Tort Law
• Commercial Law

What You Will Be Doing

• Efficiently handling a wide range of legal matters independently.
• Providing high quality legal advice.
• Conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents.
• Representing clients in court.

There will also be a component of mentoring and supporting junior legal staff.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
• Admitted to the High Court of Australia.
• At least 3 years of PAE as a Lawyer.
• Unrestricted license to practice law in Australia.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in litigation and representation in court.
• Negotiation and settlement experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
