We have an opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join Downer Defence team at Townsville RAAF Base. you will be supporting other trades or services which is part of the larger team that delivers multiple outcomes in the Estate Upkeep service line and other service lines under the contract.

The Trade Assistant, under limited direction, will be required to deliver maintenance services and repairs, relating to buildings and fixed plant & equipment under the commercial contractual arrangements between Spotless Facilities and the client. The role is hands-on and requires the Trade Assistant to perform a number of physical activities including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and using hand or power equipment specific to particular trades.

Any work undertaken is to be in accordance with industry best practice and Australian Standards that will provide best possible outcomes for both the company and the customer.

ABOUT YOU

• Australian Citizen - Mandatory, Australian Baseline Clearance - Desirable
• Electrical Integrity Testing Qualifications (Test and Tag)
• Cert II in Civil Construction/ Resource and Infrastructure (preferred)
• General Construction Induction and Electrical Safety Induction (mandatory)
• Asbestos Awareness Course No 10314NAT (mandatory SNSW)
• Valid driver's licence with no restrictions
• Current first aid certificate (preferred)
• Working at height, confined spaces and white card (preferred)
