Job title: Assistant to Treasurer
Reporting to: Treasurer of Belvoir Park Golf Club Inc
Salary: $21,475.00pa plus superannuation guarantee 11.5%
Award: Registered and Licensed Clubs Award (Clerical Grade 3)
Hours: 2 days @ 7.6hrs = 15.20 hours per week - Permanent Part Time
Location: Belvoir Park Golf Club Inc Clubhouse Office, 77 Belvoir Park Road, Ravenswood, Vic 3453
Purpose of the position
To assist and support the Treasurer with the day-to-day operational activities of running the golf club.
· Support the Committee to ensure the efficient running to the golf club
· Ensuring accurate collection and recording of all revenue and payments
· Recording of financial transactions in the accounts of the club’s software (Xero)
Responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities
- To record all financial transactions of the club, including accounts receivable and payable on daily/weekly basis
- Recording of weekly income reconciliations from competitions, bar, etc.
- Collect supporting documentation for credit card expenditure, reconcile and provide to Treasurer monthly
- Assist Treasurer in responding to email/correspondence daily/weekly
- Assist Treasurer with tracking of voucher systems
- Collect and record timesheets and leave forms for employees
- Storing and filing of all supporting documentation electronically
- Liaising with key stakeholders including but not limited to, Committee members, Employees, Volunteers, Membership and Sponsorship Co-Ordinator’s, BPGC Captains o Bar & Catering Managers, BPGC Members
- Assist Treasurer with Annual audit process as required
- Assist Treasurer with budget preparation as required
Academic and trade qualifications
Essential qualifications
- Previous experience in using Xero (preferred) or similar software
- Competent Computer skills and able to confidently use MS Office, in particular Word & Excel
- Minimum two years in general administration or similar role
- Working with Children check
- Police Check
Desirable qualifications
- Certificate in Office Administration
- Good working knowledge of basic accounting principles, budgets, cash flows
- Ability to work independently
- Previous experience working within a sporting club

Relationships
Details of relationships relevant to this role
- The position will be guided by the Treasurer with ongoing support and supervision
- Reports to and liaises with the Treasurer
- Liaises with Executive Committee and Committee members
- Liaises with external accountants and auditors where directed by Treasurer
- Liaises with key stakeholders of the Club where directed by Treasurer.
