About the role

As a Patient Liaison Officer at the Broken Hill GP Super Clinic, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. This is a full-time or part time position.

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and to enhance the patient experience by serving as a key point of contact between patients, healthcare providers, and our administrative team.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Assisting patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
• Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services, policies, and procedures
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Coordinating the flow of patients and ensuring a positive waiting room experience
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to address patient needs and concerns
• Performing general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience in a customer service or patient liaison role, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and computer systems
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture
