What will my day look like?

Over a rotating roster (between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm), your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reporting to our Bookings & Referral Management Team Manager, the key objective of the Patient Services Officer role is to provide outstanding service to patients across all aspects of the bookings process including answering patient queries via phone, digital pathways, and email, ensuring timely follow-up with patients and GPs for surveillance colonoscopy and working as part of a high performing and supportive bookings team.
  • Customer Service: Must be motivated and have a passionate approach to providing consistent and exceptional customer service to patients.
  • Multi-tasking: Proficiency with computer skills and systems and confidence in a busy working environment are a must!
  • Quality Improvement and Safety Focus: Committed to continuously improving the quality and safety of our services, managing risks, and striving for better patient outcomes every day.
  • No nights! No Weekends!

Experience/Capabilities Required:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (phone manner) and the ability to manage a diverse client base via phone and email.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Ability to problem solve and use your critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in medical practice administration, including bookings and call centre operations.
  • Proficiency in using clinical administration systems (e.g., Gentu) and Microsoft Office software.
  • Exceptional computer skills across various applications and tools.
  • Commitment to continuing education, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Ability to proactively implement continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
