About the Position

We are looking to welcome an In Home Therapy Assistant to work with children, families, and carers.

• Full time permanent position.
• Level 4 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $85,127 - $91,558 + Super.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist trauma informed, attachment-based coaching and role-modelling to carers and stakeholders.
• Support secure attachments, develop appropriate routines and boundaries and support emotional regulation.
• Collaborate to ensure parenting strategies and child behaviour support is in line with appropriate child development and parental capacity.
• Deliver practical interventions with the family as guided by the therapy team.

About You

• Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (social work, human services, allied health).
• At least two years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect.
• Understanding of the impacts of trauma on child development and family functioning.
• High level of cultural awareness and experience working with families from different cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

• Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
• Current driver’s licence.
