The Opportunity

Mitolo Family Farms are seeking a People, Safety and Culture Business Partner to join our team and drive excellence across our SA farms.

In this role you will partner closely with the General Manager – Farms and the Farm Senior Leadership Team to create a safe, inclusive and high performing culture across our SA farms. You will provide expert WHS and P&C guidance, advice and coaching to farm leaders, enhancing organisational culture and employee well-being, and ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with industrial standards.

This role partners our Pinnaroo, Nildottie and Kynoch farms. We offer flexibility and hybrid working options for the way this can be approached and are open to drive in/out arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance: Coach, educate and support farm leaders and employees to ensure work is carried out safely and in accordance with legislation, our policies, and best practice.

Workforce Planning and Recruitment: Work proactively with Farm leaders to develop a workforce plan, and with the Recruitment Coordinator to ensure positions are filled using both local and international talent.

Culture and Engagement: Proactively work with Farm leaders to develop and implement engagement and retention strategies in line with feedback from employee engagement surveys, onboarding surveys and exit surveys and P&C best practice.

Leadership Development: Support farm leaders with succession planning, promotion opportunities and identifying training and development opportunities for employee. Facilitate internal training and workshops.

Employee and Industrial Relations: Coach, develop and guide leaders in ER/IR matters. Maintain up to date knowledge of and compliance with the FW Act, National Employment Standards (NES), the Enterprise Agreement, company policies and relevant awards.

Remuneration and Benefits: Support farm leaders through salary review processes, benchmark roles and provide guidance on the employee recognition program.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience in a People, Safety and Culture business partnering role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Excellent knowledge of legislation including the WHS and Fair Work Acts, relevant awards and the NES.
• Team player with the ability to also work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
• Ability to drive safety initiatives and foster a safe culture in the workplace.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to employee development, training, and succession planning.
