Are you keen to create content for the ACMA’s social media channels and work on education and awareness campaigns? The Communications and Engagement Advisor works with the Senior Communications Advisor, External Communications, to provide strategic advice to business areas within the ACMA, including Authority members and executive employees.

This role works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and an integrated approach to media and communications. You will have the ability to proactively build and sustain positive and mutually beneficial relationships with team members and stakeholders, working on multiple priorities and be agile and responsive to change.

In this role you will:

  • manage and maintain the ACMA’s social media channels, including developing content, responding to enquiries and monitoring online discussion to keep business areas across the agency informed about key conversations across social platforms.
  • manage advertising campaigns and associated budgets.
  • evaluate and report on the reach, engagement and impact of communication activities.
  • prepare written, oral and digital communications materials tailored to specific audiences.
  • propose effective and innovative communications solutions that address the needs of stakeholders.
  • provide accurate and specialised communications advice, including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management.
  • work with other members of the Media and External Communications Section on other communications materials as required, such as for electronic e-bulletin/EDMs, news articles and web updates.
