Caremmunity is seeking a physically fit, energetic, team oriented individual to join our warehouse and delivery team.

In this full time role you will split your time between day to day warehouse, store person, duties and local multi drop deliveries to customer houses in the Adelaide metro area utilising a company supplied van. You will enjoy a diverse work week with opportunities for varied delivery runs and opportunities to work across all aspects of the warehouse.

The role is full time with a private family owned company and IS NOT a contract or Labour Hire role.

Caremmunity is a South Australian company that has been family owned & operated since 1981. Caremmunity operates from a warehouse and office in Regency Park and pick, packs and delivers Medical Supplies, Nutritional Supplements, Nappies, Wipes and other Consumables to people in the community, hospitals, aged care and childcare facilities around the Adelaide metropolitan area.

Caremmunity is the largest service of its type in South Australia and certainly one of the few who use their own drivers to ensure high service levels to customers.

About the role

Your Duties as a Store Person/Driver for Caremmunity include

• Vans are hand loaded at the Warehouse and hand unloaded at each customer destination
• Average order is a multiple carton (2-4) drop utilising sack truck to the client’s door
• Caremmunity delivery vehicles are High Roof, LWB, Auto/Manual Transit or similar.

• Work with drivers and other warehouse staff to pick and pack orders for delivery
• To assist drivers to load outbound vans in the morning
• To receive goods from local suppliers and to unload containers
• To safely load and unload delivery trucks using a forklift
• To assist warehouse staff with stock picking, stock receipt and warehouse activities in preparation for future deliveries.
• To operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• To perform multi drop deliveries from a pre-prepared run sheet and utilising Circuit an automated route guidance application on your phone
• To conduct vehicle checks of your assigned vehicle.
• To maintain all freight, parcels and documentation in good order.
• Training will be provided for all aspects of the role

Expected Hours of Work

Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM

About you

• You will have a valid car license
• You will have a current forklift license
• You will have excellent attention to detail plus sound organisational and numerical skills
• You will have a willingness to learn and pride yourself on high standards demonstrating honesty, integrity and compassion
• You will have strong problem-solving skills
• You will have above average communication skills with a genuine empathy and natural desire to connect with customers and your team
• You will have delivery experience and experience with multi drop deliveries
• You must possess or be able to obtain an NDIS Workers Screening check
• You will be required to use your Android or IOS phone to access our route automation application - data requirement is minimal
• You will be able to work autonomously
