About the Role:
This role is an opportunity for a new Nurse Practitioner (NP) graduate to gain training and experience with some of Australia’s top Orthopaedic Surgeons. You will work with a team of highly experienced NP’s who have co-designed peri-operative care protocols for joint replacement patients. Following your training, you will work with a patient through their whole journey from pre-op to post-op, giving you the opportunity to provide outstanding personal care. You will interact with patients virtually using our AI-enabled telehealth system. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly skilled team to develop new protocols and further design our supportive digital and AI tools.
Responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments, implementing treatment protocols, prescribing, monitoring patient progress, and providing education to patients and their families.
The role requires strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a compassionate approach to care.
While the role is casual, our practice has a consistently high volume of patients, ensuring that NPs can achieve a minimum number of hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct telehealth appointments and optional in-clinic consultations or assist with surgery as required.
Deliver assessments and interventions to optimise health outcomes.
Guide patients through prehabilitation and recovery.
Perform comprehensive assessments and optimise activities of daily living (ADL).
Develop and implement care plans, including conservative management strategies (e.g., GLAD program, PRP therapy, or referrals for physiotherapy).
Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care, including exercise programs, medication adherence, and recovery timelines.
Use telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom Health and Gentu) to deliver care.
