The Role

We are looking for Nurse Practitioners who are excited about new developments in treatments for various medical conditions and are eager to work to the full extent of their scope of practice. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical care via telehealth, supporting both patients and health practitioners, and prioritising the best patient outcomes. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational skills, a passion for innovative treatment options, and strong clinical and people management skills. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative medical team, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessments:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health conditions, pharmacotherapy histories, and treatment plans in collaboration with relevant health professionals.
Eligibility Screening:

Screen patients for eligibility for adjunctive medical therapy, including medicinal cannabis.
Prescriptions:

Prescribe or apply for authority to prescribe medicinal cannabis where applicable. Submit your SAS B application daily
Flexible Work Arrangements:

Work from home 100% & flexible weekly hours
Inter professional Collaboration:

Regularly liaise with other health professionals regarding patients’ clinical needs and records.
Clinical Documentation:

Maintain accurate treatment notes, eRX and other clinical documentation using relevant practice management software systems.

Key Selection Criteria

APHRA Registration: Current APHRA registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
Education: Completed a Masters in Nursing.
Medicare Provider Number: Possess or be eligible to obtain a Medicare provider number through AHPRA
Prescriber Number: Possess or be eligible to obtain a prescriber number through Medicare.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Professionalism: Excellent presentation and professional manner.
Driver’s License: Current Australian Driver’s license.
Residency: Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of an appropriate work visa.
