About the role

Bruny Island Cheese Co. is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Ranelagh, TAS, this role is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of our artisanal cheese products to customers in the local area and surrounding regions, along with collecting and delivering our milk.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate a refrigerated delivery vehicle to transport cheese and other products to customer locations
• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, unloading orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including order details, delivery times, and any issues encountered
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as needed
• Assist with warehousing and maintenance as required.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the delivery operations

What we're looking for

• A valid driver's license and experience driving medium rigid vehicles
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including potential weekend and public holiday shifts
• Basic knowledge of food handling and storage requirements
