Coppabella Community Club is recruiting a Club Manager to join our small team at its licensed club. This opportunity will consist of both administrative and hands on bar duties.
As a Club Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects in running a licensed club. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all that enter the Coppabella Club. This position requires an autonomous, diligent, resilient and solution focused person. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club’s activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and that our members enjoy exceptional experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with a small, collaborative team. Your leadership will be crucial in driving growth, enhancing profitability, and strengthening our ties within the community.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Manage the operations of the licensed club.
Manage and train a team of dedicated staff.
Safeguard club assets like cash, tills, and safes
Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams.
Responsible for stocktaking procedures & order stock as necessary
Liaise with suppliers and manage inventory effectively
Inspire and motivate our team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Prepare and deliver regular reports to the Board of Directors.
Drive the growth of the club’s business and identify and implement new revenue opportunities
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, laws and corporate governance
Spearhead marketing and promotion efforts to raise the club’s profile and engage members.
Build and maintain key relationships with customers, suppliers, and community stakeholders.
Represent the club in the community, acting as its “face” in local networks and industry groups
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the Club
Required Skills & Experience
Experience as a manager of a licensed venue is advantageous.
Management or supervisory experience in the hospitality or club industry.
Proficiency with cash handling.
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle patrons professionally and courteously.
Personable and trustworthy with staffing matters.
Working knowledge of Keno operations.
Ability to work rostered rotating mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays shifts
Thorough knowledge of the QLD Liquor Act, Gaming Act, Fair Work Act, Club Industry Award, and other legislation relevant to licensed venues.

Strong communication and relationship management skills, with a focus on collaboration.
