A very rare opportunity has arisen for a "career" Paralegal to join the firm’s Corporate Law practice in Sydney's CBD. This opportunity will be suited to either a seasoned Paralegal coming from a Corporate Law practice or a senior level Corporate Law Legal Assistant looking to step up in their career. Please note that to be considered for this role, you must bring relevant experience and have no intention of practicing as a Lawyer - this is a career opportunity where our client is seeking longevity in the person they hire.

The practice and the work you will be managing will see you providing Corporate Secretariat services where your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Assisting with the incorporation of companies;
• Transferring shares and assisting with the deregistration of companies;
• Ensuring compliance of companies with requirements under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);
• Drafting legal documentation relating to share buy-backs, company transfers and applications for class orders and company deregistration;
• Maintaining and updating corporate registers of companies; and
• Preparation of acquisition and disposal documentation.

This opportunity comes with significant responsibility within a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment. Candidates are expected to have experience in a similar role at a reputable private practice law firm or one of the Big 4 Banks.

A law degree is not required but may be useful for this role. You will also have exceptional attention to detail, outstanding communication skills and excellent organisational skills. You will be able to commit to working 5 days on-site in the firm's CBD office (with sensitional views of Sydney Harbour!), and be a team player with a positive ‘can do' attitude.
