We are seeking an experienced Paralegal (with commercial property law expertise, including Developer OTP Contracts) who is eager to take the next step with their career!

About You

You will be able to bring:

1. Minimum of 4 years' experience as a paralegal within commercial property law, including Developer (OTP) Contracts.
2. Qualifications are not necessary, however, if you are a law graduate or law student this would be highly regarded.
3. A reputation for showing initiative, self-drive and motivation, with the ability to work autonomously but within a team environment to achieve common goals.
4. Strong relationship-building skills and ability to provide practical solutions to problems presented by clients.
5. An interest in helping develop and implement new systems and processes.
6. A desire to build your career within a commercial law team with a heavy focus on property.

The Role

You will report to the Principal Lawyer and together you will be responsible for:

1. Managing internal and external relationships and their referrals. A significant amount of work is referred internally.
2. Overseeing a portfolio of files and clients with administrative and customer service support.
3. The primary focus is complex residential contract advice (Developer OTP Contracts and commercial conveyancing. You will also have exposure to commercial leasing, option agreements, guarantor document advice, build contracts, and anything that fits the strategic focus of property and property finance.
4. Helping to establish systems and precedents for this expansion of services within a well-established legal firm.
5. A supportive Principal Lawyer who will work collaboratively with you to upskill in areas of commercial property you may not have been exposed to yet.
