Finance Manager

The opportunity

We are a growing Asian hospitality group with multiple stores operating across NSW. The company is seeking a Finance Manager to manage our financial operations and provide strategic financial insights across our group of businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to build our team while managing financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance while ensuring the integrity of our financial processes.

You will lead a small team, working closely with our external accountant and our Senior management team.

This role will be a key business partner to Directors and Senior Managers, providing financial insights to support decision-making and drive growth.

The Role

• Oversee all financial reporting, compliance, and accounting processes.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement and optimise financial controls and procedures.
• Evaluate the financial performance of the organisation
• Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities of the organisation.
• Manage cash flow, payroll, tax compliance, and supplier payments.
• Provide insights and recommendations to maximize profitability.
• Manage and monitor metrics, KPI tracking, and reports.
• Work closely with managers to track costs, margins, and operational efficiency.
• Financial management, including COGS, labour costs, and P&L analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including BAS, GST, and payroll tax.

Requirements

• Finance Manager/ Controller Experience - minimum 3 years.
• Australian Citizen
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proficient in Accounting Software MYOB
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Experience in Hospitality or Multiple Retail Stores
