Urapuntja Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (UHS) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisation located in the beautiful Utopia region, northeast of Alice Springs. Established to support the health and wellbeing of the Eastern Anmatyarre and Alyawarre people, UHS delivers comprehensive primary health care services across 16 remote homelands, guided by principles of cultural safety, self-determination, and community governance.

Location
Urapuntja Health Service is located approximately 270 km northeast of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. The service covers 16 remote homelands accessible by road. Staff have the unique opportunity to work in a remote desert landscape, rich in culture, history, and community spirit, while supporting local families to achieve better health outcomes close to home.

Key Responsibilities:
1. HR & People Support
- Coordinate staff recruitment processes, onboarding, and employment record management
- Support the performance review process and ensure compliance with mandatory documentation
- Maintain up-to-date HR records, contracts, and training registers
- Provide staff with information and support regarding policies and procedures
2. Policy & Procedure Development
- Lead the review and development of HR, administrative, and travel-related policies
- Ensure all policies are legally compliant, culturally appropriate, and reflective of community values
- Establish and manage a centralised policy and procedure register
- Deliver briefings or training to staff on policy updates
3. Administration & Travel Coordination
- Organise and manage travel and accommodation logistics for staff and clinic programs
- Support general administration tasks including filing, scheduling, and documentation
- Assist with internal communications and staff coordination
4. Governance & Compliance
- Support the CEO and Board with preparation of reports and compliance documents
- Assist with HR audits and policy alignment with CATSI Act and health accreditation standards
- Maintain confidentiality and secure storage of sensitive HR documents
