Your Role at Recovery Plus Support:
As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting participants. You will employ recovery-oriented practices, focusing on capacity building in areas such as motivation, resilience, and decision-making working towards achievement of their NDIS goals.
Through the delivery of the Recovery Coaching, you will:
- Establish respectful, collaborative, and recovery-focused relationships with participants.
- Support participants to identify, plan, and design their NDIS supports, including linking them to NDIS-funded, community, and mainstream services.
- Collaboratively develop and implement recovery plans, ensuring participants and their support networks are prepared for the episodic nature of mental health.
- Provide person-centered support, tailored to individual needs and preferences, to build capacity and resilience, enabling participants to achieve their NDIS goals.
- Complete mandatory NDIS reporting in collaboration with participants ensuring compliance requirements are being met.
- Support participants to understand and manage their NDIS funding, ensuring effective fund utilisation throughout the lifetime of their NDIS plan.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to provide face-to-face support.
- Professional communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of, and commitment to, recovery-oriented practice.
- A comprehensive understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards.
Essential Requirements (must hold or be willing to obtain):
- Relevant educational qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Mental Health, Diploma in Community Services, Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field) OR 1+ years experience in the mental health sector or related field.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check (where applicable).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Infection Control Certificate
- Current Australian driver's license and fully comprehensive car insurance.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You" Certificate.
Desirable Experience:
Experience in any of the following areas is highly regarded:
- Mental health support work.
- Nursing.
