About the role

This is a full-time Assistant Restaurant/Functions Manager role at the Bridgewater Inn, located in the charming town of Bridgewater, South Australia. Our newly renovated beer garden is stunning and attracting a lot of attention. We firmly believe we have the best outdoor dining facility in South Australia and will be a sought after functions and events venue. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining and function facilities while delivering exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant
• Booking and running functions and events
• Rostering and managing the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional service
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints in a friendly and professional manner
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
• Ensuring all health, safety and licensing requirements are met
• Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities
• Providing training and support to the front-of-house team
• Deputising for the Restaurant Manager in their absence

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar Assistant Restaurant Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
• Knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and other relevant regulations
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience
