Autism Northern Territory (Autism NT), the peak body representing autistic individuals and their families in the NT, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Community Engagement and Project Officer to join our team in Palmerston, NT.

About the Role
As Community Engagement and Project Officer, your mission will be to raise awareness of Autism NT’s services, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver impactful projects that create positive change. From working directly with autistic individuals and their families to building engagement plans, this is your opportunity to make a real difference!
Your Key Responsibilities
- Education: Build relationships with schools and stakeholders, remove barriers to participation, and deliver professional development workshops for educators.
- Support & Mentoring: Provide best-practice strategies for autistic individuals and their families, coordinate social activities, and build community partnerships.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a community engagement plan, represent Autism NT at events, and promote initiatives like Autism Awareness Month.
- General Duties: Stay informed on emerging disability sector trends, assist with grant applications, and contribute to maintaining our online presence.

- A collaborative team player with a passion for creating inclusive communities.
Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in the disability or education sector, or not-for-profit organisations.
