Consumer Representative Program Coordinator
SCHADS Award, Level 5 currently $49.28 - $51.51+/hr plus salary sacrificing
25 hours per week
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our busy team to coordinate our consumer representative program.
This program recruits, trains, places and supports community members to participate as volunteers in ACT health service committees and projects. The CRP coordinator also supports consumer participation in a range of HCCA work.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Thrive in a people-facing role and enjoy engaging with and supporting volunteer consumer representatives
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be highly organised and able to juggle competing priorities
- Be skilled in a range of Microsoft Office applications
- Have experience in volunteer coordination or community development

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including group facilitation skills, and the capacity to represent the organisation in public forums and facilitate meetings, information sessions and workshops
- Highly developed organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while meeting deadlines and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Strong understanding of community development and experience in community engagement or volunteer management.
- Understanding of committee processes and experience in providing secretariat support.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong networks and partnerships with key stakeholders including people from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
- Digital literacy including experience with Microsoft Office 365, Teams and SharePoint, and updating websites.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated understanding of systemic advocacy, and the value of lived experience in advocacy.
- Relevant tertiary or other recognised qualifications
- ACT driver’s license
