This position, reporting to the Project Director, is responsible for managing the development and implementation of automated Warehouse and Robotics solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

Role: PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager will be responsible for the development, execution and delivery of Automated Warehouse projects sold by Production Reality. As project manager, the core responsibilities will be for 1) Customer Satisfaction, 2) Timely execution to schedule, 3) Budget & cashflow management, and 4) Ensuring commercial and technical aspects are met.
This will include working closely with the PRG design and engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are documented and met, working with the PRG Projects and Operations teams to ensure testing, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases through to Site Acceptance Sign-off are satisfactorily completed to schedule. The role will involve close interaction with clients and suppliers alike, ensuring project requirements are documented and met, and/or change management procedures are followed to capture deviations.
The role will be exciting and varied, split between The PRG Projects team, delivering ‘sold’ projects, and the PRG Solutions team, concepting, developing, and budgeting ‘pre-sales’ solutions. Key activities being:
- Ensuring market requirements and regulations are related in specifications.
- Understanding local suppliers and collaboration partners
- Supporting the Projects team with engineering aspects and technical documentation
- Managing client relationships and successfully promoting the Production Reality Brand
- Managing internal relationships and reporting structures
As the ideal candidate, you will be a qualified and experienced Automation Engineer with a Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering background.
Necessary to your success within this challenging role will be your experience in the Industrial Automation and logistics industry. From this experience, you will have developed strong capabilities regarding automation, design and documentation, and project delivery / management of, procurement, installation, commissioning, as well as modification or improvement of plant and equipment.
This role will also see undertaking duties such as providing technical direction to a range of staff, building expert knowledge on specialist equipment and processes, ensuring quality / environmental / safe work practices are consistently followed, providing expertise regarding machine / robot control systems, assist in new equipment / process trials, and ensure proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on all projects.
Other Attributes:
- Conceptual awareness of automated packing and storage and retrieval solutions, including ability to visualise enhancements.
- Value based Engineering i.e., design and development based on total return on Investment.
- Customer relationship building on multiple levels (Senior Management to Maintenance)
- Excellent understanding of financial processes and cash flow planning against deadlines
- Excellent communication/presentation skills (in English)
- Excellent English written and verbal ability is required.
- Competent use of MS Office Applications

The role is based out of the PRG Blacktown (NSW) office, albeit flexible working conditions are available by agreement. It will report to the Projects Director in Melbourne. Other locations may be considered for the right candidate.
The role will involve travel, both domestically and internationally.
