About the role: Part Time - 2/3 days - 6 month contract

The Events Co-ordinator will assist with the administration, planning and delivery of internal and external College events. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure professional event delivery. Some interstate travel may be required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative support in all aspects of event management, planning and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships both internal and external to Research Foundation.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of a range of communications and collateral for programs and events, and contribute pieces for post-event communications.
  • Conduct all communication (written, verbal, formal and informal) with internal and external entities in a professional, respectful and co-operative manner to build and maintain relationships.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports for Management and Board meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to develop effective and ongoing relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant university degree (Events, Communications, Marketing, Business) or equivalent relevant experience and applicable qualifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and customer service skills along with the ability to work well with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofing skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Very good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of discretion and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on events and projects to deliver them on time and to budget.
  • High level of competence and confidence in technology - Microsoft Office, CRM systems, databases, email, email software, social media, print and digital media.
  • Ability to work in a small team with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience in event management.
