Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Cromer, Australia. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of new and existing products ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation. (Sponsorship available)

About the Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will:

• Oversee product engineering quality to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring they are skilled and aligned with company objectives.
• Maintain adherence to statutory and regulatory codes, including ISO9001, ATEX, IEC Ex, ANZ Ex, and UL.
• Oversee R&D projects, product design, and design changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to optimize designs and solve technical challenges.
• Work closely with certifying bodies and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing processes and quality systems.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and product design.
• Strong knowledge and experience in DFMA, FMEA, LEAN manufacturing, and Operational Excellence.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality system management for the mechanical industry.
• Familiarity with ISO9001, ATEX, IEC Ex, ANZ Ex, and UL standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLM, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in project management, continuous improvement, and change management.
