About the role

Lidcombe Medical & Health Centre is seeking an experienced General Practice Registered Nurse to join our team in Lidcombe, NSW.

This full-time role will see you providing high-quality nursing care and support to our diverse patient population, working closely with our dedicated team of general practitioners. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including conducting health assessments, administering medications, and coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments
• Triaging patients and prioritising emergency cases
• Cold chain management and vaccine stock management
• Vaccination including Covid-19 vaccination and Immunisation programs
• Performing a range of clinical procedures such as wound care, minor surgical procedures
• Perform ECGs, spirometry, blood collection
• Infection Control Management and sterilisation of instruments
• Monitoring and recording patient observations and progress
• Assisting with the management of chronic conditions and preventative health programs
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Management of recalls and reminders
• Management of clinical stock in the treatment room
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities

What we're looking for

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse, ideally in a general practice or primary care setting
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and technology
• Current CPR knowledge and certification
• Language requirement: Fluency in English and additional languages : Mandarin / Cantonese
