About the role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at FutureCare Now in Ballina, NSW. This is a part-time role that involves shift work, providing essential support to clients with a range of disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the individuals in our care.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
• Facilitate recreational and social activities to promote client wellbeing and independence
• Provide transportation and accompanying clients to appointments and community outings
• Monitor client health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the team
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client support

What we're looking for

• Current Australian P2 or full Driver’s Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.

• Experience: Minimum 12 months experience or a Certificate III or IV in individual support or a related field.
• Availability: A minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Location: Must reside within the Northern Rivers.
• Shifts: Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts.
