About the role

Newcombe Coach Lines' is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Coach Driver to join our team in Buronga, NSW. This full-time position will see you playing a key role in maintaining our fleet of coaches and ensuring the smooth operation of our transport services.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy vehicles, including coaches, trucks and buses
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Test and inspect vehicles to identify and resolve any issues
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Assist with the day-to-day operation of our coach services, including driving coaches as required between 2 to 3 times per week
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the efficient and reliable running of our fleet

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, including a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Extensive experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, ideally within the bus or coach industry
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
• A current NSW Driver Authority Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence and the ability to drive coaches
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
