About the role

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to join our dynamic team, providing essential support services to individuals across the north side of Brisbane.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will travel throughout the community, delivering a variety of care services in clients' homes. If you’re passionate about supporting clients to continue to live independently in their own homes and enjoy working in a flexible, community-focused role, we would love to hear from you.

What will this look like on a day to day basis?

You will be:

• Deliver client-directed care services in line with individual care plans
• Assist clients with personal care, mobility, transfers, domestic tasks, and social support services.
• Monitor and respond to changes in clients' conditions, ensuring proper documentation and communication when required.
• Treat clients with dignity and respect, supporting their choice and independence.

• You will be required to use your private vehicle for work purposes, with kilometre-reimbursement offered
• Current Traffic History report will be required
• Paid compliance checks including NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check

This position is best suited to someone who has:

1. Minimum Certificate III qualification i.e. Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services
2. Preferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care services
3. Willingness to embrace domestic care duties as part of their role
4. Genuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion to work within the community service industry
5. Understanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and Homelessness
