About the role

MSS Security is seeking dedicated and reliable Control Room Operators to join our dynamic team at the prestigious University of Melbourne. If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding role where no two days are the same, this is the opportunity for you.

You will have a crucial responsibility in maintaining the safety and security of the campus, ensuring a secure environment for everyone. Your duties include and are not limited to:

• Monitoring surveillance systems and reviewing CCTV footage
• Managing and coordinating incident responses in real time
• Communicating efficiently with the security team and emergency services
• Overseeing access control and visitor management
• Responding to emergencies with confidence and precision
• Handling daily inquiries via phone
  
  

Skills & experience

• Full Australian Working Rights
• Current Victorian Security Licence with the Control Room Endorsement
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Proven Control Room Experience
• Current Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
• Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and quick decision-making skills
• Quick decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment
• A proactive mindset and a passion for ensuring safety
