The Role:

NHT Financial Services are looking to grow our team with a detail-orientated experienced Senior Bookkeeper. You will report directly to the Practice Owner and support the other bookkeepers/admin within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and mentorship of junior staff
  • Bank reconciliations, data entry etc
  • Payroll including superannuation payments, STP and interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements
  • Debtor and creditor management including processing batch payments
  • General ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Asset purchases/sales, depreciation and asset register maintenance
  • BAS/IAS preparation
  • Manage client queries and ensure that every client receives exceptional customer service
  • Liaise with the ATO on behalf of our clients
  • Support the ongoing needs of our SME clients

The Applicant:

  • Provide Xero bookkeeping services to our SME clients – please note, all our clients use Xero
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping
  • 5+ years’ experience in general bookkeeping with a proven track record handling multiple clients
  • Sound knowledge of GST legislation and experience with BAS/IAS, end of month journals and Asset Register maintenance & Depreciation
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Strong communicator – with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability is a must
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, ensuring you provide exceptional service to clients
