Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) - Level 3 of EBA - 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Technical Support Officer Traffic Engineering, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.
As our Technical Support Officer Traffic Engineering you will be joining a close knit and dynamic team.
You will provide technical input and support into the investigation and identification of solutions to customer enquiries relating to road safety, traffic management and transportation issues; and development of concept and implementation plans consistent with council’s policy direction for integrated transport, placemaking and complete streets principles.
As this role works closely with our community you will be engaging proactively with key stakeholders including Council’s elected members to ensure a service deliverables and best value integrated transport outcomes are achieved in line with Council’s long term strategic vision.
You will have the opportunity to;
- provide prompt customer responses that are consistent with key performance indicators
- assist in the drafting and presentation of complex strategic and technical reports on road safety and transport issue
- assist in the establishment and communication of contemporary best practice transport planning and design guidelines.
About you
We are seeking someone who has well developed knowledge and experience in traffic planning and design and the ability to apply written communication skills to provide technical reports that meet client needs.
You will have demonstrated investigative, analytical and research skills with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings associated with integrated transport, infrastructure and land use concept plans and designs.
You will be solution focused with excellent people and relationship management skills with the ability to work in a positive team environment communicating and engaging effectively at all levels.
You will hold a Degree in traffic engineering, transport planning, civil engineering or equivalent.
