About the role

The role is currently known as Communications & Engagement Manager; but it will updated to Senior Communications and Engagement Officer. It manages the development and coordination of communication resources and advice for School Infrastructure NSW's strategic and priority programs, to facilitate positive stakeholder engagement, awareness and participation.

About you

You are an accomplished communications allrounder with strong interpersonal and time management skills who will:

• Have experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or public affairs, with the ability to develop strategic plans and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Foster collaboration and work with various internal and external stakeholders on projects from initiation stages to delivery and ensuring effective communications and engagement from all parties throughout.
• Have proven experience in providing expert advice on stakeholder engagement activities across major programs/projects.
• Have extensive experience in planning, drafting and editing high-quality, relevant and accurate communication materials.
• Demonstrate knowledge of communications and protocols preferably within a government context, including effective communication methods and an understanding of Government Branding Guidelines.

Essential requirements, experience and knowledge

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Current driver's licence with willingness to travel occasionally across New South Wales
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
