We are currently seeking a Kitchen Hand (Support Worker) to join the team at our stunning, purpose-built, Early Childhood service in Orange, NSW!

As a Support Worker, you will be prepared to wear many hats; rolling your sleeves up and bringing a positive, enthusiastic and determined attitude as you work across Laundry, Kitchen and Housekeeping with days allocated to each of these important functions.

You will also assist with laundry, basic food preparation, cleaning and maintenance of the facilities, ordering, stocking and/or refilling supplies for the classroom, cleaning and consumables. At the same time, you will be steadfastly follow Rise’s policies and procedures and hold yourself to the highest standard regarding health and hygiene practices.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:

• Clear and effective communicator
• Inclusive of others and brings a positive attitude every day
• Kitchen hand experience highly regarded but not essential
• Capable of working independently as well as with supervision and within a team environment
• Motivation to build and maintain positive and productive relationships with colleagues, families and children although you will not be working with them directly.

Essential Criteria:

• Available for part-time work, 7 hours per day, and 5 days a week
• Valid NSW Working With Children Check (or willing to refresh/obtain as required)
• Current relevant First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications (or willing to refresh/obtain as required)
• Willing to participate in a Child Protection Induction on commencement and other mandatory training as requested by the Senior Leadership Team or Rise Group.
